We are using Adagio 9.2A and 9.3A in an Active Directory environment, Windows 10 clients. A few clients are experiencing Application Hang Error code 1002(101) at a specific time of the day some time between 10am-11am but not every day.

I have to mention that there are not backups or tasks scheduled for that time on the server nor on the clients. We are using Avira as antivirus. Also, I did check the clients for memory leak, everything looks normal.
The link bellow is the error message.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Could the users be heading to their coffee breaks without exiting the applications? Are the workstations set to "sleep" after a period of inactivity? (This is bad.)

The network connection (and NICS) must be kept active throughout the entire work day while Adagio is loaded. Make sure that the workstations or sessions on the server are not dropping the connection after some period of inactivity.

Thanks Andrew,

All the workstations and the server are set to never go to sleep. The problem occurs when the users are working in Adagio not in idle mode.

I did uninstall Avira antivirus for one client, will see how it goes. The think is we have the same antivirus for all the clients and most of them are in Adagio all day and they don't get Application Hang error.

I suspect a Windows update issue and since Restore Points wasn't enabled I was wandering if reinstalling the Adagio modules can do any good.

Has the Windows upgrade enabled Windows Defender?

No. Avira is the primary antivirus for a long time.

Are there any conflicts between Defender and Adagio?

Windows has a habit of enabling Windows Defender at random times. Make sure its virus scanning is disabled too.

BTW - "Not responding" can just mean that the application is busy. Do your users know how to check Task Manager to see whether there is activity in the application either through CPU Cycles or I/O occurring?
