Hi,

I ran our year-end process last night, and everything seemed to have gone (more or less) smoothly. I have no issues accessing any of the modules. However, this morning users are telling me they are getting Access violation errors in OE, IC, AR, and AP.

The error message are as follows:
Access violation at address 00404EEE in module 'OEWIN.EXE'. Read of address 02182440.
Access violation at address 00404ABE in module 'ICWIN.EXE'. Read of address 02192440.
Access violation at address 00404CEE in module 'CRWIN.EXE'. Read of address 01BB2440.
Access violation at address 00404B12 in module 'APWIN.EXE'. Read of address 01BB2440.

I've even tried having them open the modules with my user credentials, but the errors persist.

Thanks.

Find out what has changed (we know that Adagio hasn't). Something in the the environment has changed: Server problem? Anti-virus update? IT made any changes? User permissions changed?

Can users open Adagio's sample data?

This won't be related to which Adagio ID is used to log into a module.

Unfortunately, we have experienced everything that you've listed this past week.

We had a viral infection on the server so an anti-virus protection program was rolled out, and all data was moved to a newly built protected server, and user permissions very well may have changed during this period. The Adagio programs are still installed on the old server, but the data is on the new server. Although this has all happened in recent days, users had no issues using Adagio yesterday evening, and nothing has changed overnight (that we are aware of).

These users are receiving the same error messages when trying to access the sample data.

Thanks.

Hi, Acrylon,

This sounds like something you need to contact your Adagio consultant about so they can investigate.

Thanks. We got in touch with our Adagio consultant. It took a few days and lots of trial and error with old and new versions of Adagio, but we finally got it working.

It sounds like these errors were a result of data corruption from viral infection.
