In Archive, there are buttons called "Copy" and "Restore". They basically perform the same function, except that Copy defaults to an Archive Batch, and Restore defaults to an Open Batch.

A client would like to remove or disable the Restore button, so that the default is always to an Open Batch. Is there a way, through Group Security, to do that?

Hi Steve,

There are no security or system settings to disable the Restore button within Edit Archive Batches. I will forward your comments to R&D.

I do not know why there are both Copy and Restore buttons. Perhaps someone else requested the Restore button here so that the defaults were immediately set to the Open batch destination, saving them keystrokes and helping prevent the mistake of copying to a new Archive batch instead.
