I am interested in a financial report that inserts the current year to date value for a range of accounts in cell B9 (B9 contents: '6000:6099-`) for the department in cell D5 (D5 contents: '1000)

I tried this formula but it returns no value: =-ADGET("GLDATA.Y",$B9&"-"&D$5)

Where have I gone wrong?

Hi Lyndon,

For starters, although using =ADGET is still supported, it is probably better to use =GLAMT("Y",{account}) instead.

It's not working because cell B9 has a dash, and you are adding a second dash in your formula.

Thanks for your help

I changed B9 to 6000:6099

and the formula to =-GLAMT("Y",RNGMERGE($B10,D$6))

and everything worked.
