for document numbers in Adagio OE and PO modules

Can't you just install a barcode font and assign it to the document number field in the specification file?

Alternatively this could be solved using PrintBoss.

Are you looking to display document numbers in a bar code format?
Which Document #'s? Items? Invoice #'s? P/O #'s?

I will mention that we print the O/E Order # for a client on their Packing Slip by simply placing the Order # on the document and then changing the font for this field to a bar code-font.

To make the fields formatted with a bar code font properly 'scannable', recent versions of the Adagio Specification Editor, such as for OE or PO, have a setting in the Options / Properties area to select the Bar Code Font that you have downloaded and installed on your own. Any fields in a specification that is formatted using this same bar code font will not only have the font display, but also have the appropriate starting and ending characters added to the field value so that scanning it works.

You can see this in action from the New release video for PurchaseOrders 8.1D, starting at 4:11.

If you are using the designer program and access the Options / Properties screen, clicking the Help button and then the System tab will show the Bar Code field in the screen for supported programs, and clicking that will give some additional help.

Hi All

Can someone remind me how to download and install Bar Code Fonts on my own, for example Code 39 or UPC?

I have them already on my computer but I was trying to show a client and he doesn't have them. Where do they get installed? Do they have to be installed for each workstation?

Barcodes inc offers a free 39 font
https://www.barcodesinc.com/free-barcode-font/

The font file goes in c:\windows\font for each computer.

From your PC, you could probably copy/paste them from \Windows\Font to your thumb drive. At your client site, right click...install each font.
