Hi:

We have a Receivables database in which we are having difficulties with the Customer Notes.

If a user double-clicks on an existing Notes transaction, 1 of 3 things happens:
1) View/Edit Note normally
2) Blank Note (Date/Time correct)
3) Wrong Note (Date/Time correct)

By "Date/Time correct" I mean that they match what is shown in the grid container. The more recent transactions seem to work normally.

DIC is clean. Receivables 8.0A (050912).

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Bruce Gardner,

I think we're going to need a copy of the dataset in order to see what's going on. Can you have it uploaded to http://www.softrak.com/dbr and let us know when it's there?

Thanks

Andrew

P.S. I'm assuming that CHKSYS.EXE is clean and that the same behaviour is seen on a local copy of the data.

Andrew:

I have uploaded the dataset to Carleen at 11:40AM your time.

CHYSYS is error-free. I should perhaps point out that this data-set is running on Windows 98 in case that makes a difference.

Hi Bruce Gardner,

You're right, I get the same behaviour. I'll have R&D take a look and see if there's anything obvious.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Hello Bruce Gardner,

Something (perhaps a Rebuild during a Data Integrity Check), deleted all your notes prior to September 22/23. You will need to go back to a backup made prior to then and re-enter the notes. (GridView could be a big help here.)

Sorry the news isn't better. I've made a note that the integrity check should have at least complained about the missing records.
