We use the comments1 line for additional descriptions of our items. When we create a quote in SalesCQ we many times have special pricing on the quotes so we don't want to update items when we move to OE because it will change the pricing. By not updating we lose the additional description. Is there something I am missing?

Are you changing the Inventory Item's Additional Information line 1 after the Quote has been created?

No. On the quote side it doesn't seem to "pull" the Additional information line 1 info to the Quote. We only see the description line in the Quote and on Orders that were created from Quotes. Orders that are created in OE have the Additional Information line 1 added to the end of the description. Don't know if this is something I turned on when we set up OE or not. Also, I don't want to update the item info when moving from a Quote to an Order as I don't want to lose custom pricing that is in the Quote.

Thank you for the clarification.

Choosing to 'Update item information and pricing' will not affect the Item Description.

OrderEntry has an Option to 'Auto-append OE Description?' that SalesCQ is missing.

I will add a suggestion to the wishlist for a future release of SalesCQ.
