Hi,
I've retrieved some AP batches in the ledger using the specific date but forgot to change the fiscal year date and now it's been retrieved in the current year instead of in the next year, making it retrieved in period 99. Is there a way to transfer this batch to the next year fiscal period?
Thanks
Lynn

Lynn:

Assuming you have Next Year active, just copy the batch. When you do then select the move option, change the period number, and select Next Year as the destination.

Hi again,

I've posted that retrieved batch but all the entries are dated for October in the GL but in that batch I had entries from other months. How can I unpost that batch to fix the dated for each entry.
Thanks,
Lynn

Hi Lynn:

Look at the "Post" menu on the main screen of the GL module. You should see an Unpost option (if you don't, that option needs to be enabled in the Company Profile).

Click on that option and then specify the batch number. The process will be quick (as long as you are running a reasonably current version). Then you can edit the batch and change the Periods as you wish. Then re-post the batch.

Softrak has a YouTube channel and there are 27 videos specifically on GL functions. The average length is 5 minutes so they are quick but contain a lot of information. The list of 27 is on the right-hand side in the black box. See Softrak GL videos

I've listened to the video and did what it said but now there is an unposted batch and and open batch. Do I delete the unposted batch. Also I need to do some editing (such as the transaction dates) in the batch but I can't in either the unposted or open batch. Do I delete both batches and recover the one that was previously opened?
Thanks,
Lynn

It is not clear from your posts why you would have two batches displayed, an unposted and an open batch.

There is a setting in your company profile that controls what you are allowed to edit in retrieved batches. Your organization may have strict rules about what edits are allowed. Check before changing this setting.

It's a pity you weren't able to attend the Adagio Open House in Montreal last week, We could have shown you have all these functions work.

Perhaps it would be good to invest a few dollars in your Adagio consultant rather than trying to disentangle this yourself.

I know I would of loved to go last week but unfortunately I was booked somewhere else. Next time for sure. I found what I was doing wrong. Instead of going to the batches I was trying to work through the batch status. So sorry, I think I'll go back to bed...
