We have 2,700 special prices and that number will grow to 5,000 in the near future. We are unable to use Price Lists because there is no ability to "always use the Price List price". My understanding is that if the Base Price is lower than the Price List price, then Order Entry will revert to the Base Price automatically. That does not work for us because we have contracts with large accounts and their price needs to be set without exception. There are some cases when the Price List price might be higher than the Base Price, because part of our contract includes back end credits that we factor into their Price List price.

Can Softrak provide a solution?

Are you saying you want an option in Inventory Company Profile that asks "Always use Price List" like the option in OrderEntry that asks "Always use Special Prices"?

Hi Susan,

If the Alternate Price List has a different Base Price than the regular item, then that price will be used, regardless of whether the "normal" price is lower.

Perhaps you were thinking of Sale Prices, where the item's Base Price will be used if it is lower than the Sale Price on file.

How many price lists can we have? Is there a limit?

And can we use fixed prices?
