When I export anything to Excel the formulas all stay, but then when I try to copy that spreadsheet anywhere I get an error message that says "The range you are pasting contains formulas that cannot be pasted into this instance of Excel; however, the formulas will be pasted as values. This may result from pasting formulas from Protected View, another instance of Excel or from another application". I know it's something to do with Excel, not Adagio, since I checked the computers for the other 2 Finance staff and they don't get this error. However, it's only recently started, around the last Adagio update, and there's nothing that's changed on my Excel or that's different from Excel for the other 2 staff. Has anyone run into this and do you have any suggestions?

Have you asked Ms Google? She knows a lot about Excel.

I was curious because I've seen this occasionally myself. Ms. Google says that message happens if you have Excel open twice and try to paste from a workbook in one instance to a workbook in another instance. To be clear, this is not simply copying from one workbook to another. This is when Excel has actually been started twice. You can reproduce this behaviour by running Excel twice and entering a very simple formula = 2*3 into a cell in one of the workbook. Now highlight those cells, copy them and try to paste them into the workbook in the other instance of Excel. You will see the warning message.

Thank you both. I generally get along well with Ms Google and I had checked in with her, but for some reason she was not being her usual helpful self! With your input the issue is solved if I export from Adagio with no other spreadsheets open. I can then copy the exported file and the formulas stay. Thanks.
