Hi,
A recent upgrade to 9.2B Gridview, along with other 9.2A upgrades has resulted in a workstation being unable to export to Excel.

If we click on the XLS button in Gridview for an open view, the Excel launches and the message above the windows task bar says it is exporting and formatting the columns, but Excel does not pin to the task bar or remain open on the task bar. And no spreadsheet opens.

If you look at the task manager, Excel.exe is running as an application.

If you click on XLS button in receivables on the same workstation, the export of say the customers works fine, as we would expect, and XLS is open on the task bar.

We have tried with new gridviews and also with 64 bit Gridview64.exe, and the same result.

Client is running on W7 workstation, with XLS 2013.

Any ideas?

Is a view you're trying to ExcelDirect from GV a view of the same grid information as was exported in Receivables?

Are other w/s's at the site experiencing the same issue?

Yes, same view info as in Receivables, but only this workstation is experiencing the issue. Wondering where to check attributes that might affect the GV export to XLS.

Please check the shortcut the w/s having the problem uses to launch GridView and compare it carefully to the shortcuts any of the other w/s's use to launch GV.
