Issue
I have a client computer that was able to use OE fine for the past few days but this morning I am met with the following message:

Cannot open file "K:\Softrak\ORDERENTRY\OEMNURES.RSC". This file is currently not available for use on this computer.

Other workstations can login to OE but this one will not.

I have tried uninstalling OE, rebooting after the uninstall and reinstalling - met with the same prompt. I have restarted the server - met with the same prompt. I have also double checked file and folder security permissions and that's fine.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Dwaine,

The problem is occurring with one w/s only. Please check the shortcut that this w/s uses to run OE & ensure it uses exactly the same target as the other w/s's shortcuts use.

Have you tried running OE on this w/s from within another module? eg. by clicking the OE icon in the Adagio toolbar of the other 9.2x module or by selecting OrderEntry from the Adagio menu? Is this successful?

Is it possible this one w/s is using a different antivirus program or version or release than the other w/s's and that all things Adagio (eg. Softrak folder, data) aren't set as exclusions in the program?

The other thing that might cause an issue here is that the user's rights have changed.

Edit Reason: Added another line re rights

RESOLUTION

I tried the suggestions and no luck there but after a couple hours on the system I found the issue.

Windows 10 has Sync Center / Offline files. The end-user enabled the feature on the Order Entry application and a couple of the OE application files.

After turning off the feature on the Adagio related files; the issue was resolved.

Thanks for the suggestions!
