Hi, Prk

Possibly your workstation "user" is not configured like the successful users was.

Perhaps the other user's workstation is where QRWIN was installed from/to initially.

Try installing QRW logged on as your username. To save time, you may want to ensure that you have Network rights, before you proceed.

If this does not work, we would require as much information about the original QRWIN install and the type of Network, how many users etc...

Dear prk

In your last post, you claimed "All client installs were done from the file server with admin rights".

This is not the way to install QRW onto the workstations. Once the program has been installed using the "Custom" & Network install method onto the Server, you must perform a "Workstation" setup FROM EACH WORKSTATION, following the instructions in the QRW manual (Page 1-5 "Getting Started" in your QRWIN manual).

Again, make sure you have rights to manipulate and run files on these workstations, then follow these procedures. This could be why you are having these problems.

Also, please review the note at the bottom of this QRWIN manual page regarding license agreement. Basically, if you wish to install a network version that can be used by more than one user at a given time, you MUST acquire the QRW Lanpak for the number of users. You can obtain this Lanpak from your Softrak Dealer.

Regards...

Hi prk,

The name of the file that inserts the Excel export option is uxfxls.dll, and it can be found in the C:\windows\crystal (or C:\winnt\crystal) directory. Check your workstation to see if it is there, and if not, then copy it from one of the stations that does have it. Also check the file date on those stations that allow Excel exporting; the one that should be installed is 6/20/95.

We haven't run into this issue before. Is there any corrolation between the stations that are OK and those missing the export (such as installed programs, versions of NT, login scripts, etc)? It's possible that another program may have overwrote or 'upgraded' the file, making it inaccessible by Quik Reports for Windows.
