There is a fair amount of information that does not get passed to Receivables from other applications, such as Invoices, OrderEntry, JobCost or other programs, because there is nowhere to store that info in Receivables. For example, all the text from the invoices.

For this reason, you may have to print reports from the sending application (ie from Invoices, not Receivables) to get what you need. There is a Tax report printable from Invoices.

If you find that the reports do not give you all the information you want, or organized in the way you want, then we recommend using a custom report writer - such as Crystal Reports for Adagio or GridView, to generate the reports or inquiries you need. Adagio Receivables can be set up to run the customized reports directly from within the program.

Essentially, Crystal Reports for Adagio is a report writing program, designed to extract your data and display it in the manner you require. It is an incredibly powerful application that will generate virtually any report you can imagine as long as the data still exists, though it can be complicated for new users. This program is best used for printed reports.

The other application I mentioned (GridView) is another possibility. It is better used for on-screen inquiries but can also print results or export to Excel. It is much easier to use than Crystal Reports, but does not have the same flexibility or power. Here's a link in case you were interested:
