THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED!

Workstation: Windows 10
ODBC Version 9.2A
Adagio modules - all current as of today, 3/9/2016.
Crystal Reports version 2013 (if this is relevant)
I'm migrating a client with many custom reports from Crystal for Adagio to ODBC. I am having difficulty with ODBC.

I have created a connection as instructed in the Help. I browsed to the data folder and selected GLGLOB.DAT and have entered the correct user and PW. When I try to connect with Crystal reports, the login screen comes up, I enter the user and PW and I get an error:

Login failed.
Details: 28000:[DSI]: Error message not found: Connect Failed
[Database Vendor Code:-1]

I also am unable to connect with Excel. I get a MS Query error, so clearly the DSN is not working. I've tried recreating a number of times. The error in Excel/MS Query is:
: Error Message Not Found: Connect failed.

For what it works, the ODBC splash screen indicates that it is not registered. But -- I can't see where I would enter the registration information to send to Softrak.

FRUSTRATING.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated as I've run out of ideas here.

Carol

Hi Carol,

I ran into the same registration issue a few months ago. To register ODBC open the Windows Start Menu, Choose the Adagio folder, then the ODBC folder, then Register and Report Registration Form. Without the instructions from Leigh I wouldn't have thought to look there either.

Ok, I found that -- thank you! Of course, as is typical today, I could not find it on the Windows 10 PC - but when I installed on a windows 7, I was able to find it. So, one issue down!
Thanks..
