Is there any way to print out a standing order, using the Picking Slips or Confirmations buttons?

No but you can print it using the Reports | Order Reports | Order/Invoice/Credit Note List report.

Please record my request that standing orders be able to be printed as an Order Confirmation or Picking Slip.

If you want me to, I can explain the need for it.

As they are specifically blocked from being printed that way and have been for a long time, it's probably best if you do explain why and I can add your comments to the suggestion for R&D.

Because they sometimes have to issue RMA's to customers, but not in the volume that would justify buying Adagio RMA. They could simply create a standing order and print the order using a spec that appears to be an RMA. Then delete the standing order after they create the credit note (once the merchandise is physically returned).

They own SalesCQ and I thought of using that, but there is no way to copy an order to a quote, and to re-key from scratch into CQ is too much to ask.

Maybe I should instead ask that you add the ability to copy an OE order (or invoice) to SalesCQ as a quote. I just thought that would harder for you to do.

Okay, suggestion entered for OE.

Hi Steve, just FYI, it is very easy to create a CQ quote based on an OE order or invoice.

From the orders screen in CQ, you can hit the quote button and it will generate an identical quote based on the selected order, invoice, or CN.

Softrak is not ignorant to that feature. You can see it was demonstrated in the recorded webinar on July 7th, 2010, starting the 46:00 minute mark. It is also indicated in the Help file - there is an entire topic devoted to 'Restoring documents as quotes'.
