A client recently switched their email setup from MAPI to Direct, because they no longer use Outlook.

They have found that emailing fails unless, each day in the beginning of the day, the user selects Email | Setup and re-enters his password. Before re-entering the password, a Test email fails, and after re-entering it, Test email is successful. This is happening for each user, and they all access Adagio via RDP.

Does anyone have any clues as to why this is happening? I know the setup configuration is correct because ultimately they are able to email from Adagio.

All of their modules are at version 9.2A.

We have a user with emailing issues but I don't think she is on RDP environment. When we test it, it works but it doesn't work the next time. This is happening in AP 9.2A. We think it has something related with their exchange server. Because the user only needs to email once a month, we don't know if it is the same issue.

What are they using in place of Outlook, and did their email host change?

they use Outlook and no, their email host has not changed.

If you're issue isn't the same as Steve's, would you open another forum thread?

Steve's client is no longer using Outlook and recently switched their email setup from MAPI to Direct. They are using RDP.
