I use ARCHIVE batches - and sometimes they can be 30 or 40 lines long. When I need to make a change to the batch by inserting a line somewhere in the middle, (rather than at the end) I am unable to do so. The only way I can make the change is to re-enter the entire batch and create a new ARCHIVE. Is there a way to insert a line into the middle of a batch? If not, can I please add this to the wish list for the next update?

Highlight all the lines you'd like to insert the entry before and select "Copy". Move the lines into a new batch. Add the line(s) you want in the new batch. Highlight the remaining lines in the old batch and copy them to the batch you've created.

Please don't re-key all your transactions!

I'm assuming the module in question is Adagio Invoices.

While Andrew's method likely works (I haven't tested it), you can also do more easily without having to create a new batch.

Add the new invoice to the end of the existing archive batch. Then highlight all of the lines you want after the new line, and copy them to the existing batch, making sure to uncheck "Increment document number" and "Revise date fields", and especially making sure to check off "Move document".

That's funny, I was assuming the module was Ledger.

In Invoices the process is even easier. Highlight the line you want to insert before and press the Insert key.
