I have reports designed for AR 9.2A (150625) that run fine on my install. When transferred to the customer, pressing "preview" after selecting the custom report results in an "Unspecified Error".
I just noticed the AR about screen says it is AR 9.2A (150701) ??
Any ideas?

Hi Tony:
I likewise have had this problem, and reported in on the Forum a number of weeks ago. Problem is, I sent the data and reports to Softrak and they are able to run the reports without the error message, but I still cannot run them from within Adagio 9.2. The reports that bomb-out in Adagio work fine when I run them from Crystal. This issue is not resolved for me yet.

Hi Samuel:
Did you see my note about the version...what version does your AR report?

I am running the reports accessing tables from OE & AR. The AR is 9.2A(150410). The OE is 9.2A(150729) (I am trying to use the most-current versions.)

I've tried printing to AdagioPDF ...same result.

I changed the report printer in the Crystal Report to AdagioPDF & re-saved the file. (And just to be sure, I uninstalled on my laptop the ODBC and re-installed.) The report is saved to C:\SOFTRAK\Receivables\CustomReports In Adagio AR, I ran the report twice from two separate companies (different clients' data), but the end result is that we still receive: "Unspecified error" When I run the same report from Crystal, the report runs properly.

Tried printing with PrintTool....prints fine when using "saved data", but crashes when I try to refresh.
I'm thinking it's one of two things: Parameters: Report has parameters. They aren't fancy, don't look up info and aren't cascading. ODBC Driver: I've noticed there are some things I can't do in Crystal while using the Adagio ODBC (like using formulae in linking), perhaps one of the Crystal functions I've used (inadvertently) is causing the ODBC read to fail.
As an immediate solution, this client is buying Crystal for themselves and I will recreate the report on site.
I'll keep you posted...

I doubt this will solve the problem, but you shouldn't be saving the data with the report.
If you want, you can upload the data and the RPT and we can try and recreate the problem here.

Tony – Andrew is stating that he does not think that installing Crystal and running the reports from the client machine will solve the problem.
I beg to differ. The reason is because on my own laptop, when I attach the reports to Adagio 9.2A, there are reports that crash. Yet, when I run the same reports from within Crystal, they work like a charm.
(And BTW, these are also reports that contain Parameters, although I am not convinced that this is the source of the issue.)
This is not something that we have to ponder over – please let us know after the fact if indeed you have success at your client by running the reports from within Crystal.

That's not what I was stating.
I was saying not to store the data with the report.
