I have a problem and need help.

I exported inventory items from Export to Excel. The list has 16,508 items. Exported to Excel from the Item Inquiry window and I have 16,513 items on the list. Exported to excel from the Item Maintenance window and have 16,904 items!

What have I done wrong?
I have found many item in duplicates and triplicates in the Item Maintenance export list. And they are not in numerical order. Just repeats in some other rows. Now I am not sure how many inventory items we have.

I have a client with similar inconsistent results exporting to Excel - with occasional duplicate records or gaps. Softrak has not been able to determine whether the problem is Adagio-related, Excel-related, or something else.

Try exporting your items using the File | Export | Items function, in Excel format and in CSV format and let us know what the results are. I am very interested for my client's sake in getting more facts so we can make a diagnosis.

Adagio Inventory 9.2A will display the number of items on file in the item grid.

In the interim, are you doing anything else while the Excel export is taking place? Anything? Such as scrolling around the Excel sheet or switching to another application (since it takes a while to export 16,000+ rows)?

If you click the ExcelDirect button and sit back until the process completes, are the exports consistent?

What version of Excel are you using (2007, 2010 or 2013)? Is it 32 or 64 bit? Do you get the same export on another workstation?
