Hello Softrak
I have read the posts on the issues with the many added rows and columns to the 'print to excel file'. The work around of exporting after previewing the report eliminates the extra rows but does not seem to eliminate the extra columns, unless I have done something wrong.
We use this function a lot to analyze some of our gl detail listings. We like the presentation by fiscal period. Also, our year-end working papers have to be sent to the auditors electronically; this is a very functional way to do prepare these. As an example, I print to file the bank rec report and include that in my excel workbook. Not so easy any more.
We also send these reports to other staff for their information, it was a great format. I have to say that they now print nicely without extra reformatting - thank you,but not so easy to work with if you need to.
Any other advice would be much appreciated.

Lise

Hello Lise,

If you need to work with the data, rather than want it for presentation, try one of the exporting options for "data only" and see if that works for you.

We still would rather see people using the ExcelDirect buttons on the View Transactions/Budgets Grid to place transaction information into Excel. That, or drill down from the financial reporter.

Thank you Andrew
I do appreciate what you are saying, sometimes it is for presentation though and the detail listing that we can modify is better...we'll work with what we have though...

thanks again
