I am trying to add a new account in the GL and when I click on "maintain" to enter I get the error message "unable to write to spell.ini"

It does allow me in and I can enter the account but instead of being able to specify a balance sheet versus income statment account type it says "item 1" or "item 2" or "item 3". Once I select this I can't access anything else in the GL. If I try to display accounts I get the error message "access violation at address....." and I have to shut the program down.

Your help would be appreciated.

Has the security changed for your workstation recently? This issue may be a rights issue.

The spell.ini file should be in the Windows/WINNT directory on your station. You must have Full control of this file.
