We are having issues with Adagio taking 20 minutes to load. This is not happening every day, but we can never guess when. It always happens after 8:30 a.m. and continues having this issue for about an hour and a half. Someone in our office opens the program at 8:00 a.m. and never experiences the issue. They get in right away and are fine. The second person has the issue, and anyone else at that time who tries to get in. We are running the program on our domain controller, and people log in via a shortcut to the path on the DC. Any suggestions? We have checked event logs on both the server and local systems but nothing seeming to indicate what the problem is. We have also check resources & performance issues on the server and no CPU spikes at the time of the issue. This is a new server with lots of resources.

Have you checked whether your anti-virus is running? Perhaps someone chose 8:30 am instead of 8:30 pm for the schedule?

Thanks - we have checked and antivirus is definitely not interfering with this server and this program. But you are right - it seems like a scheduled thing happening at a certain time every morning, but not every day.

We had a similar problem last fall where at certain times of the day Adagio and Outlook would hang. It didn't happen every day but frequently. I found a lot of unknown stuff being run during the day by Windows Scheduler (no idea how it got there). Had our IT guys come in and clean things up which seems to have solved the problem.

So we have checked the task scheduler and nothing is scheduled that would interfere with this program.

And what does the Task Manager show where the cycles are being consumed on the Workstation?
