We are using Paymate Clarity and have had some corruption in our files. Can anyone tell me what file extension I need on the file that we export the payroll to for import into Adagio? We have the file path and have been told to create a file name however from history it looks like it used to have GLDATA.ARR. I would like to know if this is correct or if we just need a file.

Sammy:

If you are using the retrieve option then Adagio would normally be looking in your data directory for the GL transaction file.

If you are using the import option then the import template specifies where the import (transaction) file is located.

Beyond that someone who knows what they are doing will need to sort out the setup. Unfortunately the developer no longer supports the integration with Adagio so it's time to think about moving to PayDirt Payroll for Adagio.

Hi Douglas

I don't think you are correct about the developer no longer supporting integration with Adagio. Certainly they do with Clarity US and it is hard for me to believe they would support that version and not the Canadian version, being that they are in Canada.

There is no one file name - it is defined in Clarity itself, when you select Payroll | Export | Export to GL, under the Preferences tab.

Steve:

The software itself is fully supported but this doesn't apply to the integration with Adagio. Their technicians don't know how to make the integration work resulting in a number of clients contact us about this.

PayDirt's integration with Adagio is much more seamless. Just tell it where the Adagio database is location and you are done.
