There is a new setting under Edit | Defaults that lets you specify how many Recent Files to remember under Files | Recent Files.

Why can't this setting also apply to File | Recent Workspaces? It just doesn't seem logical.

Along the same vein, I have workspaces that contain multiple views/files. They are never used except in their particular workspace, but they get listed in the Recent Files list when the workspace is open. This knocks my singe views off the list. Any way that workspace files don't get listed here?

I think you'll find that the count applies to both entries, even though it only calls out the File list.

We will change GridView so that loading a Workspace does not update the MRU File list.

Not to be flip, but the Recent Files setting in GridView 9.2A and previous versions also applies to workspaces. I tested this and it works. If you decrease the number of recent files, you have to close and re-open GridView to see the change, but it does affect both Views and Workspaces.

You have to open a workspace different than what is already on the recent list in order to add to it. You may also need to save the workspace, though I am not sure of that requirement.

There was one change to how recent views and workspaces work in the 9.2A upgrade:

Recently Opened View and Workspace lists are now saved by user, by company.

Perhaps you are opening a workspace for a different user or company, and thus the recent list is not updated in the way you are expecting.
