I am trying to import a lotus file, journal entry header and detail to G/L Batches. When I select Lotus 1-2? as the format the default file extention comes up as WKS. I can still select my file with extention WK1 but when I try to import the error message says that this is invalid and that I should use a different import such as Ascii or Fixed Format, neither of which are relevant. I tried changing the extention of my lotus file to WKS, and got the same error message. We have been sucessfully importing this particular file into ACCPAC for many years and would like to switch the import to Adagio. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Sandra

Hello Sandra,

If you can back up your General Ledger data and the file you are trying to import, I would be happy to take a look at it.

As an aside, how is this file being generated? Could you use Excel instead?

Hi Sandra,

I was able to successfully import a GL batch (detail-only style) into Adagio Ledger 8.0B where I saved the import file as Lotus format (*.wk1) using MS Excel.

- Which version of Adagio Ledger are you running?
- Adagio Receivables import batches is currently limited to CSV, PSV and Fixed length formats, even if you select Excel. Perhaps if you are running an older version of Ledger, this limitation is (still) there?

Hello Sandra,

Just to close this thread, the issue was due to the fact that, although you can only use CSV, PSV or fixed for a header/detail type import, you can choose any of the regular import sources. There was no problem modifying the import file to detail only and importing from there.
