Hello,

I have moved this to a new topic since it is a separate question from handling a back order.

Where (which report/screen) are you seeing the negative Unit Cost? Do you allow negative inventory?

No I do not allow negative inventory. I am seeing the negative unit cost on the inventory valuation report as at a certain date July 31, 2013. If I run a report to date it is not showing a negative.

Hello,

There is a brand new release of Adagio Inventory that incorporates significant improvements to the back-dated Inventory Valuation Report. Back dated reports are calculated by backing out all the historical transactions from the current balance. There were circumstances where this was not done correctly.

Could you tell us whether the problem still exists after you have installed the Upgrade? If so, then we'll want to confirm the modules you are running and perhaps ask you to upload the data so that we can take a look.

We get negative total costs from time to time. It happens when PO posts an Invoice and sends an adjusted amount back to the item after all or some of the stock has already been sold. You just need to do an Inventory Adjustment (Cost Only) to Cost of Goods Sold for the difference to get the total cost back to what it should be for whatever quantity you have remaining.
