How do I close a matter in Time & Billing. Is deleting and closing the same? I read in the manual that if I close a file instead of deleting it then it will appear on my closed file cross reference list. But, I can't seem to find where I close a file.

Yes, deleting a file/matter is the same as ?Closing? it. If you delete a file/matter, you will be asked if you wish to, ?Issue closed File/Matter number??.

If you do not issue a number, you will still be asked if you wish to increment the statistic for closed files/matters.

I am once again attempting to close some matters out. But, there are several matters that we have closed and there is no receivable balance that I know of or that I can see in the system...yet when I try to delete the matter I get an error message indicating that I am unable to delete it because there is an a/r balance. Any ideas?
