I am once again attempting to close some matters out. But, there are several matters that we have closed and there is no receivable balance that I know of or that I can see in the system...yet when I try to delete the matter I get an error message indicating that I am unable to delete it because there is an a/r balance. Any ideas?

Hello Sherri,

Before you can delete a Matter (File), you have to clear the WIP transactions. If you have Final Billed the Time and Disbursements, use Maintenance, Purge T & D Ledger to clear the Final billed and Non-billable transactions.

If your Customer is set to Billing Method by Matter (File), you will also need to clear any current or historical transactions in AR.
