A customer prints from a network client the above report but the JOB reference is not there. I have their database and when I print this report from the standalone Pc using NFR AR, the job reference is displayed. What is the cause.

Hello smhoon,

This is really a Technical Support question, so I will move your question into that forum.

Check that you and your customer are running the same versions of Adagio Receivables. Your version may be more current.

My client Qrasp folder has the set of AR tables; QRT61A,70A,B68,W10 & Z10. I compare them with NFR and notice that W10 is different in their dates. Client W10 is 13/11/03 but NFR is 12/12/03. I did a Crystal in my client site and discover that W10 does not support the job field. Is this the table which causes no display of job reference when printing/previewing the AR transaction listing from Adagio AR. For information both NFR and client AR share the same version 6.8A (031209).
My client subscripts to 18mths upgrade but has not received notice of upgrade since March 04

Hi smhoon,

We'll need a little more information to clarify what you were looking for with the Job number and where things have stopped working.

First of all, make sure that in the Company Profile, the Job Cost interface is still enabled. Depending on which version of Adagio Receivables is installed, you may have to select 'Accpac Job Cost' from a drop-down, as opposed to a simpler checkbox.

In the current release of Adagio Recievables, changes were made to the report tables, which would explain why you see a difference in the file date of QRTARW10.QRW.

What I am assuming is the problem is that you are creating a custom report using Crystal Reports for Adagio, based on a table such as ARW10 Current Transactions and cannot find the Job Number field. The scenario is that in some cases, fields are dynamically loaded based on settings in the Company Profile. One example is the phone and fax fields, which can be either formatted or not. Appropriate fields are displayed in the Crystal Reports field list and the other choices are hidden.

The same goes for the Job Number field. It is only displayed in the field list if you load a database that has the Job Cost interface enabled in the Receivables Company Profile. I have tested this with the 12/12/2003 table and it works as expected.

Therefore, make sure that the database you are attempting to report on has the Job Cost interface enabled.

AR Profile Job Costing Integration was perfectly set to Accpac Job Costing as client has been entering job related transaction entries since. Please refer to my first posting whereby I have indicated that current transaction listing does not display the job reference number when I print this menu at client site. I use NFR on the backup data and job reference number is displayed. My client AR installation CD is 6.8A (020610). My client has recently received upgrade on GL 8.0A (031218) and AP 6.8B(031017). Is there any upgrade available for AR. My AR NFR is upgrade recently.

I notice in my client’s softrak\system\qrasp\cr folder there is QRTARW10 dated 12/12/03. Will this help if I copy this file to the network drive which is N:\qrasp folder to override the same file date 13/11/03 and then reinstall AR to solve the situation.

I can't say if having the current table will solve this particular situation, but if the file in \softrak\system\qrasp\cr is dated 12/12/03, then this is what Adagio Receivables expects. I would say that copying over the file is a good idea.

- Search your network and local drives for an occurance of a QRASP folder on the root of the drives. What may have happened is that during installation of an upgrade, a different 'Report Tables drive' was selected instead of 'N', which would result in the newest table being installed to the wrong place.

- Run the CHKSYS utility that comes with any Adagio program. It can be found in the \softrak\system directory. It performs a number of system checks, including if all current tables have been installed to the correct location. Based on what you have written, it will probably report that the Receivables table is not up to date. This assumes that your Report Tables drive is correctly assigned in your Windows Registry.
