My bank reconciliation module is giving a pop up "The maximum batch number has been reached. The next batch number will be reset"
How do I reset the batch number to continue my postings?

Running Year End under the Maintenance menu will reset your batch number to 1. All batches must be posted or deleted before this can be done.

If the error batch represents a cheque (check) posted in AP, then I suspect that is why it can't be deleted. To find out what the error is print the batch listing report. Whatever it is, hopefully it can be corrected so that the batch can be posted. You will then need to post an adjustment as (I would assume) this transaction is not longer applicable to reconciling your bank balance.

Correct, the transaction no longer applicable to reconciling the bank balance, it is dated 2009.

I am not getting to print the batch listing report. It is saying error reading from the batch.
How do I remove this from the open batch window.

Sounds like your database is damaged. Backup your data. Run a Data Integrity Check (access from the file menu). If it gives you the option to Rebuild then run Rebuild. Repeat until all errors are corrected. Then retry printing the batch.
