is there some way that we can pay vendors online? Such as phone, utility etc. We also have a contractor that prefers if we pay by direct deposit. The only thing I can think of is to enter these as manual chq and then go online, do the transaction, and then enter the confirmation as the chq number in AP. Does that make sense?

There is an Add-on module EFT that allows you to do EFT (Electronic Funds Transfers) within Adagio Payables, to make direct deposits to your selected vendors.

It will cut a deposit file that you can send to your bank (probably for a fee as part of your banking agreement), as part of a regular cheque run and emails the stub to your vendor to acknowledge the payment.

Another solution is to use Telpay as a payment service, that is already enabled inside of Adagio. Again requires a service agreement and integration to Telpay for processing.

We also have sites that simply login to their bank and make the payments online to their vendors. Not a bad way either for smaller volumes, and then enter the pmt as a manual chq as you have suggested in Payables. Or could enter the payment in Bank Rec into Payables, when you download the transactions from the bank.

Lots of choices. We like the Bank Rec option, and the EFT Add-on module as our preferences.

With Adagio EFT, you cannot pay utilities/credit cards etc. With Telpay, you can.
