Was this an older version of Ledger?

At one time (several versions ago), the program created new files for each batch. If data was restored from a backup, that files were not overwritten and were, in effect, orphaned. This could have happened in a previous year.

I believe that upgrading the the latest version, 9.1A, and converting the data will allow you to run the Data Integrity check and "rebuild" to delete these unwanted batches.

Thanks Ralph

We have been using version 9.1A.

Any other thoughts?

If the DIC reports an error, you should run Rebuild and Check cycles continuously until either the data passes the integrity check clean, or you are left with errors that the DIC cannot repair.

Backups should always be made prior to clicking the Rebuild button for the first time of course.

Thanks Andrew

The DIC has been run numerous times with the rebuild selected
We are always left with the same orphan records listed

Plus now the rebuild button is grey and does not allow us to use this again

Also a box appears on the screen after running the rebuild that says '-' is not valid integer value

What does this mean??
Thanks

Without knowing the exact wording of the DIC, it's difficult to help.

Cut and paste the DIC results (the errors and summary).

Please ZIP your Adagio Ledger data using File | Backup and upload it to http://www.softrak.com/dbr to my attention.

Thanks.
