I have not found a solution to the inability to create new and edit accounts in the maintenance menu.

Hi Janet:
From your earlier thread, it sounds exactly as if the account entry screen is loading but isn't visible. As Andrew suggested, it may be placed off the screen somewhere, though in that case the [Alt][Spacebar] technique should work. Unfortunately there are some things that can't be diagnosed on a forum and I think that's why there were no further answers on your previous thread. I suggest a call to your Adagio consultant who would be able to get your screen back, likely quite quickly.

Hi, Janet,

When you're on the Edit Accounts window, can you access the Column Editor (double click on the column headings row in the grid)and change the 'Active records only' setting? If it is currently enabled, disable it and vice versa. After, close out of the Edit Accounts window and then reopen it.

Does this resolve your problem? Let us know.

It turns out that the Edit window was off screen. We were able to move it back; however, Adagio does not remember the new position so that when we log off and back on the Edit Window is again off screen.
Also confirmed that on my PC that Adagio Ledger does not save the window position or size for the Edit Window in version 9.1. Same may be true for other functions from the Edit Window. Can Tech support confirm that this is not operating as it should?

Can Softrak support please confirm the above as it is not solved by the recent service pack? The same seems to be the case for the current version of Payables when using the vendors window.

Hi Don,

Windows | original sizes should have resolved the problem, so I have asked R&D to check that out. Certainly, changing the screen properties to a single monitor will solve the problem, although that's a bit more disruptive.

Hi Andrew,

The Windows original sizes did move it back. But just to be sure we are on the same page here I am reporting an inconsistency in the way Adagio programs are saving Windows positions (and maybe sizes) when that option is selected. The save Windows position behaves differently in different parts of the Adagio programs. In ledger the Maintain function does not remember from one session to the next, but View does. In Payables, Vendors, it doesn't remember within the same session. Some places it works as expected and in others it does not. The behavior is the same on a single monitor.

Hi Don,

Ledger was carefully saving the size and position, and then not loading it before opening the dialog. It will be fixed in the next build.

Thanks for clarifying that the Window | Original Sizes fixed the problem. We couldn't understand why that didn't work.
