One user needs to export to a csv file from Gridview every day. All the other users export to Excel. I would like to automate the export to csv as much as possible using command line parameters. Changing the ssi2xl.ini file changes it for all users. I think that I am doing it wrong. What is the syntax for the ssi2xl.ini file? I seem to remember that somewhere in the file I can specify the user's Windows login and include a line "Forcecsv=1" or something like that. How do I have one user exporting from GV and the others exporting to Excel?

If this can't be done I will simply export to Excel and write a VBA macro in Excel to export to csv.

In SSI2XL.INI the section should look like:
Code:
[Initialization]
*-CSVDIR=C:\demodata
; Microsoft Notepad
workstation name-CSVVIEWER=c:\windows\system32\notepad.exe

Replace the workstation name with "*" to have the setting apply to everyone.

Hello Support:
I've tested and that works perfectly in an interactive mode. Does it also work in an automated mode? Thank you.
