PO for Adagio (8.1B) allowed users to select “vendor” to “vendor” (e.g. VEN003 to VEN003) when auto generating a PO, and all the items that needed to be re-ordered from this specific vendor would be generated quickly. Then from that step, there was a button that they could click to select all the items generated.

The new version forces the program to scan the entire IC database and list all items and only then can you select just the vendor you need.

Is there a way to generate PO's based on IC levels just for a selected vendor, one at a time, or is this a feature that will need to be considered for a future release? It's a big issue for our client from a productivity perspective.

PO8.1C is a new product and it does look a little different.

By default, all vendors are selected. However, you can use the Ctrl/click or Shift/click keys to to multi-select and deselect vendors or results in the results grid if you want. Once you have them all deselected, if you want to select only one, Ctrl/click on that vendor only.

You may also limit the scan for results using the item, category, include vendors, quantity and reorder criteria.

It is not necessary to scan the entire database and list all items first. The window remembers the results from the last time results were generated. Once you have selected the criteria you want, Generate the new results.

Something else they can do is generate the results for all of the vendors. The results grid uses the Column Editor and you are able to add a number of additional columns to the grid that you would find helpful. For example, add the Vend# column to the grid.

As mentioned above, the results grid can be multi-selected also using the Ctrl/click and Shift/click methods and they might prefer to do this instead.

A site doesn't have to Create PO from every result provided. They can choose to Create PO for just the results they want to at the moment. Once a PO is created for a result, that record is removed from the results grid.

Thanks for the input. I did work with the grid and made it do that. The main point is to be able to select by vendor first. Still would be a useful feature that was available in the old program. Hope you'll consider it for future updates.

Try this then. The vendor grid normally has all vendors preselected.

Locate and CTRL/click once on the vendor you are interested in. Then, click once more on the vendor to deselect all other vendors.

At this point, if you'd like, you can CTRL/click on any other vendors you want to select.

Yes, we did that and it does work. It does still seem to scan everything so it's no faster, but I did get it to return a list only with the one vendor.

Maybe this is something that can be looked at for the future - i.e. some way to scan the database that will be fast. The client insists it was much faster with the old program.

Yes, POA 8.1b is faster, but it could not produce a PO for a single location. With the 6 locations your client has, PO 8.1C has 6 times the records to process.
