This template used to work perfectly but there must be an update to the syntax. My template looks like this:

H 2/28/13 2
C Feb13 Brokerage
C
C Per GS stmt
D 1000.0 .00 Feb13Brkrge 2/28/13 Per GS stmt 2.00
D 4000.0 .00 Feb13Brkrge 2/28/13 Per GS stmt -2.00

etc

Now, once I import the file, I get the error "Error adding record to G/L Batch detail, record already exists." three times. When I print the journal, the first three lines (In my example the lines 2-4) disappear then the rest of the journal imports fine.

It still works, but it used to be nice to have the title of the journal appear at the top of the printed report. Any ideas what is causing the error?

It would be helpful to know what you are trying to import and into which module (inclding version number).

Looks like an order or invoice into OE but the error message isn't consistent with that type of import.

What has changed? What version of Ledger?

Nothings changed with the template... been using the same template since 2008. This is being used to import journals into General Ledger. We're using 9.0D It was working with the prior version.

So, did you recently upgrade Adagio Ledger?

From which version? Are you running Ledger V9.0D (111017)?

I checked and the sample import file GLHDBTCHIM.SAM, which contains comment lines, imports properly into the sample data. You will need to inspect your import template and import data file to make sure that the fields and order of the fields (and file name) all match up.

This is a GL import batch. I check to see what is the source of the import issue.

Andrew, just did a search on the network drive and the local hard drive... no sign of that sample template. Is it available for download somewhere?

Look in the X:\Softrak\Ledger\Samdata folder (replace X: with the drive letter where Adagio is located in your environment). Andrew meant to type GLHDBTCHIM.CSV (note the extension of CSV). There is likely a quick explanation or solution to the problem. But if you can't resolve it soon, a call to your Adagio consultant would save you some time and frustration.
