Hello Support:
A client using 9.0B (12-12-13) would like to multi-select invoices in the History list in order to print them. However neither Ctrl-click nor Shift-click work. I've connected remotely to confirm this behaviour. We can multi-select in the current Invoice batch list and in other applications like Excel.

That's odd. How about with the sample data? From a different workstation (especially a different keyboard and mouse)? Data Integrity clean?

You cannot multi-select in a Grid with over 10,000 items. It's a Grid limitation.

Steve: The same behaviour occurs on all computers, though not in sample data. Seeing Andrew's answer, we now understand why.

Andrew: There are 16,075 invoices in History. We are going to solve the immediate problem by copying the dataset, purging and then printing the (large) number of invoices requested by the auditor. Is this a hard-and-fast technical limitation or do you anticipate lifting it in the future?

Why not give the auditor the data and Client NFR copies of Invoices and GridView (or all of Adagio for that matter)? Or, install the client NFR of ePrint and have a clerk sit and print the "Print" button and generate the requisite PDF's one by one?

In answer to your question, there's rarely a "hard and fast" limit in software. Changing the behaviour of something as fundamental as the Grid in Adagio requires a TON of QA, and those resources have been in short supply.

Actually the client owns ePrint. For some reason it didn't save PDF copies automatically. I'll be looking at the configuration next.

Enable "Keep PDF Accounting Copy" on the PDF Options tab in the Company Profile.
