A prospect has 25 different Ledger datasets. They want to run DIC on all of them overnight without user intervention.

Is DataCare the solution for them? Is there some workaround required or can it include multiple datasets in a run?

Hi Steve:
You could have 25 Scheduled Tasks, though that is 25 places where something could go wrong. How about 1 Scheduled Task that runs an old-fashioned .BAT file? I just tested it and it worked for me.

DataCare is the solution.

• Create a DataCare job in each data set.
• Create a .BAT file that launches DataCare for each Dataset /r command line option.
• Schedule the .BAT file to run with Windows Scheduler.

I found this by typing "Adagio Datacare command line options" into Google.

I think that will work. As usual, I should have thought of that myself - I got the exact same answer when I asked a similar question about running GridView overnight for multiple companies not too long ago, and that was implemented successfully.
