Dear Team,

Client inadvertently retrieved a large AR batch into the ledger without consolidating.

Is there a ledger feature to consolidate same before posting ?

Thanks

No

I don't recommend consolidating either. Once consolidated the only way to find the details is to look them up in the report. Once consolidated trying to figure out why the number ar not correct becomes very difficult.

I need to consolidate this batch. We print to pdf so searching for details is not my worry. This batch has quite a bit of lines coming from counters sales cash customers invoice and payments.

There is an option on the Batch Listing report to "Print G/L Summary".

Print the Batch Listing with that option, look at the summary, and if this is enough information then use this to create a "consolidated " Batch. Delete the original batch.

If Michael's suggestion is not appropriate for any reason ...

If you have a backup of the AR Data immediately prior to the retrieval, While no one is in the system, it would be possible to "save the existing AR data", do a temporary AR only restore and open AR just to consolidate and GL just to retrieve, put back the "saved existing AR data", delete the unconsolidated GL batch that is no longer needed.

Pete

PS: You could do the above using one specific file as well - call me if you need assistance
