Trying to close a year, however when the Close Income/Expense Acct is run only a few entries are made to the retained earnings account. Looking at the expense accounts they are zeroed out, but all the accounts closed to retained earnings is just not showing up in the retained earnings.

Tried to close on both 8.1C and 8.1D version. Ran a DIC it came back clean.

Does anyone have an idea as to what is going on?

Look at the batch status report - Andrew's guess is probably correct.

I restored the GL from a back up just before trying to close the financial year, I checked the batch status report and the close of the income and expense accounts didn't occur before. Once I ran the function myself and checked the batch status again it was present and only showing 4 entries in the batch. Those are the four entires that were posted to retain earnings alone. Looking at the trial balance all the income and expense accounts were zeroed out however when you actually go to the accounts none not even those that would have been affected by the postings that actually hit the retained earnings account were affected there is nothing balancing out the accounts and sending the balance to retained earnings

This is difficult to troubleshoot without seeing the data, and it would be relatively easy to resolve with the data. Therefore, you would be better served by asking your Adagio consultant to take a look rather than seeking help on this forum, in my opinion.
