Hi,

I have 20 deposits in BankRec for the same day (i.e. Dec.13). The bank statement gets imported and the deposit shows as a lump sum on the next day (i.e. Dec.14).

Is it possible to setup a statement rule that will match the 20 deposits from BankRec to the 1 deposit on the bank statement that's on the next day?

Hi Miriam,

The purpose of Statement Rules in Adagio BankRec is to apply formatting to imported bank statement details and also apply additional information such as a customer or vendor code or GL account, in the case that a new transaction will be created rather than matched. They won't be used for matching imported transactions to those that already exist in BankRec, though you could apply a colour style in order to make it stand out.

When the bank statement is imported, you can multi-select those 20 deposits and manually match them to the single deposit that was imported from the bank.

How are those receipts entered? Through AR or BR?

Hi Bruce,
The deposits are imported to BR.

If you import them into a deposit batch they will all be grouped together and easily reconciled.

Miriam:
Highlight the batch, click on "Rename" and check whether the "Deposit Only" option has a check-mark. If it does, then all deposits in that batch are totalled and go into the reconciliation as Andrew describes, a single entry. This is the default setting when a deposit batch is imported so I'm puzzled that you are seeing them as 20 individual cheques.

The purpose for this request is to split up credit card deposits by credit card type for each day. The import brings in all types of credit card deposits and then needs to clear based on the deposit total for each credit card type.

Then how can we get each payment method to add up to their individual deposit?

Please read the Help or Manual on how Payment Methods work in Adagio Receivables. They do exactly what you need.
