How come you would rather use GridView than the Excel link already built into the Physical Inventory Worksheet function in Inventory? Is there something about that function which doesn't work for you?

Hi Steve,

I have to import inventory locations from our old accounting system (six to eight characters) into an optional text field (LOCATION) in Adagio. My plan was to assign a pick sequence number to each of my inventory locations, use the pick sequence to sort the physical inventory worksheet but print the optional text in place of the pick sequence. I was thinking (hoping) that I could do this using the new Excel link in Gridview-RW to assign the pick sequence numbers and to import the inventory locations (which are in a separate Excel file). What’s the difference between bringing info into Adagio from Gridview-RW as opposed to doing a file import?

I haven’t had a chance to run this by Bruce yet because he’s had two boot camps the last three days.

I’m open to comments/suggestions.
