Does the Application Server Role help Adagio in any way?

I'm planning to move the Adagio to a new Server and was just wondering if Application Server Role helps Adagio Modules runs better or in any other way.

Planed spec for the Adagio Server:
Intel Xeon E3-1220 v2 @ 3.10GHz
16 GB Ram
1 TB HD (Raid 1) for OS
1 TB HD (Raid 1) for Data
Gigabit network connection

Is the above specification sufficient for 25 users?

Are you planning to use Remote Desktop Services for your Adagio users? If so, then you want at least 1 Gbyte / user + 4 GBytes for the OS and more is better. Don't run Outlook in the Remote Desktop session. No more than 6-8 users per CPU core.

Yes, I will have 10 users that will remote in and the rest will just be accessing it from their workstation via LAN.

No outlook will be run.
