My client needs to send their POs to multiple email addresses.

Before I go ahead and set up PrintBoss to take over the email tasks, can this be done with Adagio (using direct method)?

Ta,

Hi, Tony,

If the email address field being sent to contains a number of email addresses strung together, the answer is yes. However, I would try this out first in and NFR of the product you looking at to confirm that it fully works they way your client is envisioning it.

PrintBoss is certainly a very viable alternative if their requirements are more robust.

We tried it with multiple emails, separated by semicolons (as you do) and got the error message 'invalid address' when we tried to send. It appears that Adagio was treating the entire string of addresses as one address (the entire text line is underlined).

I'm sure I've done this with clients using MAPI, just never direct.

Hi, Tony,

While like you I would have expected the semi-colon to be a valid separator, it seems it isn't. I get the same error as you when I use it to enter a string of email addresses.

However, with any program that emails, I've learned that if a semi-colon doesn't work (Outlook's preferred separator), to try a comma. When I use this character as my separator, I don't receive the error and my emails send to each address in my string.

I'm using the Direct method also.
