Has anyone else had any issues with email attachment sent from Adagio OE or AR not coming throug? We have been having complaints that the attachments not coming through, although when we resend from Outlook the attachment is there, and is received. We are using Mapi method instead of Direct.

Thanks

Hi,
What version of OE/AR are you running?
What OS is the machine sending the emails, is it Windows 7?
What mail client are you using, Outlook 2008? Outlook Express?

Hi Kristin

Yes, I have encountered the issue among a few of my clients. I may be wrong, but I suspect that the recipient is not using a compatible version of Outlook. Try sending the offending emails to yourself and see what happens.

The ultimate solution is to not use MAPI, but rather Direct. Using Direct also avoids the annoying warning messages from Outlook that accompany each and every email. The only downside I can think of is that the emails do not show up in your Outlook Sent folder, but they are in the Adagio email queue.

Steve,
I believe you may have hit upon the answer. I can answer that question - their work around is to email invoice to themselves - yes, the attachment does come through just fine - and then forward to her client.

Geez - that's a awkward process. Why not use "direct"? There's a log within Adagio.

There's a log within Adagio.

Where is that?

If you still want to use Mapi, talk to Warren at The Stief Group (warren@stiefgroup.com). He presented a freeware solution at AOC this year, that answers (like a macro) all of the delayed Mapi confirmation messages instantly, and works slick. Trivial to install. it's also noted in the AOC presentation notes.

Best,
Brian

Andrew:

If we use that log, it gets really long and cumbersome for the few occasions it needs to be referred to later, so many users including me, clear all the sent messages daily.

If there were some sort of historical record, even in a text file, that would be great. Alternatively, filters would work so that only unsent could be displayed, but that, I think, might be overkill.
