I have the DOS program for Distinctice software. Does that mean that I cannot import into the adagio general ledger program. If I can, please explain how?

Does the program from Distinctive Software create a retrieval batch for Ledger or is it creating an import batch? My guess is that it is a retrieval batch. You will need to verify that with them.

You can import batches into Ledger. Is the file for a Header Detail style batch or a Detail style batch?

Under File, Import, Batches, there are default import templates for Header Detail and for Detail only. If the default import templates do not match the format of the batch you have, you can design your own template.

Distinctive Software produced several programs for ACCPAC Plus, the most popular of which was Payroll Companion. Any program that produces a general ledger batch that can be retrieved by ACCPAC Plus, also produces a batch that can be retrieved by Adagio Ledger.
