We pay by Visa but would like to track each customer's invoices in Accounts Payable under their own account- How do you clear their account when it is paid to Visa

You make the credit card a "bank" (liability) account in Payables and pay your vendors using this bank.

Our company, Link2Systems, released a new module in July called Link2Points that does exactly this function. This product was demonstrated at the Adagio Opportunity Conference last June, and will be again this year. A number of businesses are already using this product.

You can enter all invoices under the vendor account (as normal data entry) in Accounts Payable or in X-Company for Adagio (your choice), and post in Accounts Payable.

You open Link2Points, and select the VISA or whatever credit card you will be paying/paid the vendor's invoice with, and all vendors' invoices associated with VISA as an invoice payment option display for you to simply transfer as paid to the VISA statement/account. You can select by invoice or by due date or highlight and click to transfer to the VISA account.

After posting, the Visa vendor account shows which vendor/invoice it came from and the Vendor's account shows the amount being credited as being transferred/paid by VISA. You can then pay Visa with a regular cheque or EFT. No requirement for a separate bank.

The software cost is $1500 including $250 maintenance, and is available from your Adagio Dealer. Unlimited credit cards, and you can have credit cards consolidating into a master credit card.

Not only do you get to track the vendor invoices and statistics effectively, you efficiently process the invoice/payment easily and maximize your loyalty points.
