How do I export a g/l detail listing to an excel spreadsheet? I need the columns to be exported so I can do calculations (additions) and other excel features on the listing.

To export any of the reports from the main Adagio Reports menu, you must 'Preview' them first. It is from the Preview window that you can export the report(s) to different files, in different formats.

Depending on the version of Excel you are using, you would select the appropriate Excel version (XLS) from the 'Format' selection box.

The Export Button is at the top of the Preview screen, and looks like an envelope with an arrow pointing down into the envelope.

Another very fast way to get your G/L transactions into Excel for analysis is to use GridView. Just Select the fields (account, dept, description, date, fiscal period, amount) from the Ledger Posted Transaction file, create a Filter to choose a specific account and/or fiscal period, and then click on the "Excel Direct" button on the GridView toolbar.
