The 'Database version' for Adagio Inventory 6.8A, release 010710 should be 1.6.36.1911, not .1915. This is why the ptf is not wanting to install. It sounds as though you may have been sent a 'Fast Fix' or temporary ptf for a problem that you were encountering in Inventory? Perhaps your Dealer installed it?
In any case, there are a couple of things you can check to remedy this...
1. Using Windows Explorer, go to the Softrak\ICWIN program folder on the drive where Adagio is installed (O:\Softrak\ICWIN).
2. Look to see what the date on the ICWIN.exe is. For the original version, it should be dated 07-11-01, with a size of 4,012 KB. Perhaps you renamed the original file before installing the fix? If so, there should be another file in this folder that resembles the original ICWIN.exe file...perhaps ICWIN.old or ICWIN.xxx or something like that - it will have the proper date and size, in any case.
If you cannot find the original file, the only thing to do is to reinstall the original, full Inventory program again, to this same drive/path. Before you do this, you should rename or remove the 'modified' ICWIN.exe file, so that the real one will be properly installed.
Once you have reinstalled the original version, you should then be able to install the ptf without a problem.
NOTE: You will need the original serial number and install code to reinstall the product. You may also require full admin rights.
